Our League Team program is very unique in that we are intentional about building deep relationships and teaching our athletes how to grow and develop. These teams are designed to help players prepare to play on a school and/or tournament team in the future.
The first half of the season, we will host the league in our home gym. In April and May, Teams will practice twice per week and play once per week. All games will be officiated and we will film and keep stats as well. Games will be (4) 7-minute quarters with clock stoppages, IHSAA rules. Teams will be constructed to ensures all players get ample time on the court.
Here’s how its unique.
- Each individual player will be assigned to a roster for week 1
- In April and May, rosters will “shuffle/reset” for week 2, 3, 4, and so on
- Stats, wins and losses, and margin of victory will be used to keep individual player standings.
- For the playoffs, individual player standings will be used to create new, level teams.
- At the conclusion of the season, champions will be crowned for 3 categories: bracket play teams, individual stat leaders, and overall “ranking” based on our custom built algo.
In June and July, we will play in a league hosted in Indianapolis and rosters will be assigned and set based on how each player developed and grew in April and May. The first two months of the season will prepare each player and team to compete in a larger league against other clubs.
